October 2025 – “Doing Good in Due Season”
Scripture of Encouragement
> “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
— Galatians 6:9–10 (NKJV)

A Day of Love, Service, and Community
On October 11, 2025, the Bountifully Blessed Hands family gathered again at Neville Park in North Chicago to serve a warm Sunday Dinner — and this time, our impact stretched even further.
Alongside our classic home-cooked meal of fried chicken, cornbread dressing, macaroni & cheese, candied sweet potatoes, and butter cake with buttercream icing, guests were also welcomed with a free clothing drive. Suits, dresses, jeans, and shirts were available for anyone in need — no questions asked, only love and generosity.
Faith in Action
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we wanted to show our support in a meaningful way.
Volunteers shared pink bracelets, stress balls, and awareness items to spread encouragement and compassion.
We also handed out free Bibles and small booklets of the Gospel of John in both English and Spanish, offering the message of hope to everyone who stopped by.
Family at the Heart of It All
This month’s event was completely powered by family — brothers, sisters, parents, and children working side by side.
Each person played their part, from preparing meals to organizing clothing tables and greeting visitors. Seeing new faces and hearing heartfelt thanks reminded us that the work is reaching lives and building bonds right here at home.
A Grateful Heart
To every donor and supporter, thank you for helping us keep this mission alive.
Your giving allows us to keep feeding, clothing, and uplifting our community — one Sunday at a time.
As we look toward the next gathering, our purpose remains steady: to serve with compassion, humility, and joy — all for God’s glory.
With love and gratitude,

Echoes of Hope — September 2025 Edition
“Sunday Dinner: Feeding the Soul and the City”
On Saturday, September 13, our Bountifully Blessed Hands family gathered once again at Neville Park in North Chicago for another Sunday Dinner. Though early-morning storms tried to throw us off course, the grill still had to burn — and it did. Ribs, hamburgers, and hot dogs along with baked beans and potato salad on the side were prepared and to serve the hungry in our community.
The rain delayed our start, but it couldn’t stop the mission. As soon as the clouds broke, our phones started buzzing with messages from our mass text group, verifying that we'd still have the event, and people began arriving right on time. When one of our team members started feeling under the weather, right before we started serving plates, everyone pulled together. The plates kept moving, the laughter returned, and before long, the line of people was under control.
We saw more new faces than ever before and served more meals than any previous event. The community showed up hungry, grateful, and full of love — and yes, the ribs were a hit!
As always, every meal was free, every heart was welcomed, and every prayer over the food was sincere. We were reminded once again that when God’s people come together with willing hearts, no storm can stop His work.
About a week after this Sunday Dinner, we received incredible news — Bountifully Blessed Hands is now officially recognized as Bountifully Blessed Hands, Inc. NFP.
We give all glory to God for this new chapter and extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who has prayed, donated, or simply showed up with a smile.
We’re already preparing for our next event this Saturday, October 11th.
Thank you for believing in what we do, and for standing with us as we continue to serve North Chicago -- one plate and one prayer at a time.
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

Bountifully Blessed Hands – Event Recap
August 23, 2025, was another powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
The bees may have been buzzing, but that didn’t stop people from showing up early—even before our 12 p.m. start time. We met so many new faces, including some children who came with their parents and grandparents. Each encounter reminded us that our community is hungry not just for food but for love and connection.
A local poet, Sharon Epps, stopped by, saw what was happening, and went live on social media to share the event in real time. She even “interviewed” us on the fly, giving us the chance to talk about why we serve: out of love for our community, out of kindness, and out of the blessings God has given us.
By the end of the day, we had fed close to 100 people. More than numbers, though, it was about the smiles, the gratitude, and the reminder that giving matters.
We are grateful to everyone who came, supported, and shared in this moment. Bountifully Blessed Hands is more than a name--it's a calling. And we'll keep answering that call as long as God strengthens us.
“For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy,
Now I will arise,” says the Lord;
“I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”
— Psalm 12:5 (NKJV)
From sweet potatoes and smothered chicken to smiles around the table, these moments capture what Bountifully Blessed Hands is all about: good food, grateful hearts, and family standing together to serve our community.
August 17, 2025
Welcome to Echoes of Hope. This space is where I’ll share the heartbeat of Bountifully Blessed Hands—the stories, the moments, and the reflections that remind us why we do what we do.
Just one week ago, on August 10th, we held our very first outreach event. In all honesty, we were excited to help, but unsure if anyone would come. The day before, we had walked the streets posting Sunday dinner flyers all around the area. But by Saturday evening, heavy storms had rolled in and destroyed every single one.
When Sunday came, the rain still didn’t let up. As we began setting up, it poured again. For a moment, we wondered if anyone would show. But the tug on our hearts was strong, and we knew obedience to the Lord mattered more than the weather. So we pushed through, soaked but determined, trusting we were placed exactly where we needed to be.
Not long after the skies cleared, a few young men rode by on bicycles. They told us they had seen one of our flyers before the storm. That small word of encouragement carried us. And then—it happened. One person walked across to the shelter. Then another. And suddenly it didn’t stop.
Word of mouth spread faster than we could have imagined. The need in our community was undeniable. We collected names so we could personally invite each person to every future event. And even after we ran out of food, people were still coming, still asking, still hoping. That moment reminded us: what we are doing matters. There is hunger—not only for food, but for presence, for care, for love.
That day, we served with open hands and open hearts. The rain came, but it could not stop what God was doing.
This is only the beginning, and I pray these echoes continue to reach far beyond us.
